The New Little Missenden Playground development due to commence in October has been designed in sympathy with the beautiful Chiltern District Woodland landscape. Designed for years seven and upwards which is in addition to the early years facilities already in place.

The main structure is quite a size with three distressed wooded towers with hand split cedar shingle roofs measuring at 14 meters wide and 5 meters deep with many features...

* Three wooden Towers
* Log Balance Role
* Balance Climbing Log
* Vertical Climbing Net
* Burma Balance rope Bridge
* Angle Climbing Net
* Firemans Pole
* Wobble Bridge
* Climbing Wall
* Log Ramp
* Monkey Bars
* Grass Safety Matting

In addition there is a slide mound which is a double width steel slide mounted on a large grassed mound so children can slide side by side and have no falling worries. We are also including a birds nest swing too for less able children too.

All the features will be designed with the childrens safety in mind with grass matting around the main structure and birds nest, the facility checked and monitored by RoSPA, the independent national inspectorate.

In addition to the play structures, there will be a walkway beginning at the main gate running the complete length of the 'red lion' side hedge, around the birds nest swing and and along the north side. New picnic tables will be located on the north side so families can enjoy extended time amongst the safe village play area.

The main structure detailed in the CAD drawings are for function orientation only, the finished product is something that is unique to the industry with huge tree trunks as the base with distressed timber barriers with cedar single roof. Something to be proud of and a natural magnet for the local children...

Every contributors childrens names will be engraved onto the structure, in random all over the structure, a map of the names and locations will be found on this page.
